About Briana

Briana Burgess is an International Grand Prix rider and Top 10 World Young Horse Championship Finalist.

Based in Germany for 12 years with her initial education beginning under Dutch Team coach Johan Rockx and International Canadian Grand Prix Rider Penny Zavitz-Rockx, Briana then went on to complete a 3 year stint under German Team Trainer and Olympic Gold Medallist, Monica Theodorescu before going on to running her own training barn in Germany.

In the years that have followed Briana has been trained and educated under some of the best riders in the world, including Swedish Olympian Patrik Kittel, German team rider Helen Langehanenberg and German team rider Christoph Koschel.

Awards & Recognitions

Briana Burgess boasts a remarkable career spanning over a decade, with a wealth of experience as both a competitor and trainer at the highest levels of international dressage. Having trained with some of the world’s top riders and coaches, she now shares her expertise from her base in Southern France while traveling globally to coach and consult, helping riders and horses achieve their full potential.

    • In 2024 Briana made the decision to relocate back to Europe but this time to the South of France at Domaine Èquestre des Grands Pins .

      Competition has resumed with all starts resulting in first place so far in the season.

    • Conducted clinics around Australia

    • After 12 years of training, competing and running her own barn in Germany Briana relocated back to Australia where she began the largest clinic tour around Australia for Dressage which continued into 2023.

      •Briana successfully established her clothing Brand BB Sport.

    • Longlisted for Team Australia for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon

    • Represented Australia in the 6-year-old division at the World Young Horse Championships, finishing 4th in Round 1 and achieving a Top 10 finish in the final

  • Top 10 German Championships Nürnberger Burg-Pokal Qualification

  • Competed in the World Dressage Masters 5* Tour, placing at CDI Munich and Winner of CDI Vidauban (France) World Dressage Masters Grand Prix Special‍

  • Shortlisted for the Australian Team for the World Equestrian Games in Caen, France
